​Juniors

Pukekohe Tennis under professional coach Lynette Johnston now runs the largest and fastest growing junior program in the Counties region.  We are the only club in the region that offers a comprehensive year-round coaching program for juniors.  An 8-week coaching program is offered throughout each of the school terms.

Beginning with a Hotshots program for the 5-10 year olds, with small coaching groups, your child learns all the tennis basics.  For those who want to take the game a little more seriously a Le Net Tennis Development Squad placement is offered for the 8-10 year olds.  From year 5-6 juniors naturally progress into Junior Beginner Interclub which is modified slightly to help with the sometimes difficult task of serving.  From there they can continue play and be coached social in squads at Pukekohe Tennis Club.  Some may be chosen to represent and further develop their training to join the Counties Regional Squads​, these squads represent the Counties Region in representative matches.
