Junior Players
Pukekohe Tennis Club has the largest array of Junior Interclub teams in the district entered into the locally based Counties Competition. Competition is run throughout Term 4 and Term 1 with a break over the summer holidays. There are generally 4-5 players per team. Each team is carefully put together to suit the child’s age, playing ability, and goals. Both male and female players play in the teams, there is no separate competition for the different genders. The teams play different Clubs throughout the local Counties Region with the majority of the games being played at Pukekohe Tennis Club. Each of the 4 team members plays one singles and one doubles match per fixture.  Each of our teams is offered 16 weeks of team coaching as part of their Junior membership with our coach Lynette Johnston and her team.
Starting with Grade 7 Beginners Interclub, which is run on a Friday afternoon from 4:00pm for those in Year 6 and below at school. Each season the Juniors have the option to work their way up the Grades which are then played on a Saturday to aim for our Senior Premier Grade. Premier Grade with teams of two showcase the best of our local players both female and male, junior and senior, on a Friday evening played at Pukekohe Tennis Club, or our juniors can continue to move with their friends and play socially through the Grades. All are catered for at our Club.

Senior Players
Our Interclub is also open to our Senior members both female and male who want a bit more competition. From Grade 3 and above, seniors are welcome to join a team and compete. There are 4/5 players per team each playing a singles and doubles match. Double specialists are allowed. The teams are usually made up of mixed genders, both Seniors and older Juniors. Grade 3 is played on a Saturday afternoon, Grade 2 on a Thursday evening and our top level competitions Grade 1 and Premier Grade competition are played on a Friday night. Each Senior team will also receive 8 weeks of complimentary coaching in Term 4 as part of their Senior membership with Lynette and her team.

TIMES AND DAYS OF PLAY
​Grade 7 - (Beginners Interclub grade) is played on Fridays from 3:30pm to approximately 6pm at Counties Tennis Centre.
Grades 6 - Saturdays from  8:30am to approximately 10:30am
Grades 4 & 5 - Saturdays from 10:30am to approximately 12:30pm
Grades 3 -on Saturdays from 1:30pm to approximately 4:30pm
Grade 2 - on Thursday Night 6:30pm start
Grade 1 - Friday nights 6.30pm start
Premier Grade -Friday nights 6.30pm start
